What is an unlock code?

When your handset is locked to a specific network provider you can't use another SIM card from another network provider. When trying to insert a new SIM your handset will display an error message: "SIM not accepted", "Phone restricted", "SIM not valid" or "Enter unlock/subsidy code". An unlock code is a unique and genuine number each handset has that is specific only to that handset (identifiable by IMEI). That code will instantly unlock your handset and you will be able to use your handset with any network provider worldwide.

How does the remote unlocking work?

You just have to send us the IMEI of your phone (don't worry, that's completely safe) so that we can search for the unlocking code of your handset (each phone has its own specific code). Once we find your code, we will send it to you by email with a complete set of instructions. You just have to enter the unlocking code on your phone and your handset will be unlocked. As simple as that!

How do I find the IMEI of my phone?

There are two ways to find the IMEI of your handset. First, on the back of your phone, underneath the battery, there is a small label with the IMEI of your phone (15 to 17 digits). Or, you can simply dial *#06# on your phone and the IMEI will be displayed on your handset screen.

How do I receive the unlock code?

You will receive the unlock code by email. You have to insert the code on your phone. That's a very simple process, but don't worry, we will provide you a complete set of instructions.

Is unlocking permanent?

Yes, once you use the unlock code your handset will be permanently unlocked, no matter how many SIM cards you'll use.

How long does it take to receive the unlocking code?

Generally it takes between 5 minutes to 24 hours for us to find the unlocking code for your IMEI and send it to you. But, there are some IMEIs for which it's more difficult to find the unlocking code due to several reasons (the most common reason being the IMEI is a very new one). So, in some rare cases it might take up to 3 days until we'll be able to send you the unlocking code.
