Virtual reality is far from being a new concept, but after taking a quick look at all the available apps, we can observe a trend. Developers are focusing on two main categories: <\/span>horror and roller coaster experiences<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n

But we can\u2019t blame them at all! After all, the latter are very easy to make, since you just need to sit in one spot, follow a specific path and look around, while the wagon goes forward on the rails. But the entire beauty lies in the feeling these provide, making you live the moment way more intense than watching the experience on a regular screen!<\/span><\/p>\n

My first experience with virtual reality was one of these\u00a0<\/span>Gear VR roller coaster apps\u00a0<\/b>and it was absolutely awesome, helping me understand what this whole thing is all about. <\/span><\/p>\n

Picking a great virtual reality roller coaster app is somehow difficult, due to the ridiculously big number of available titles. Obviously, this list had to include just <\/span>the best stuff you can get now<\/b>, so a lot of testing went into it. And we loved it more than your grandma loves saying that you look skinny and you should eat something. <\/span><\/p>\n

Coastiality<\/span><\/h3>\n

Starting off our top, we have something which isn\u2019t technically an app, putting you in a virtual world, but <\/span>an aggregation of 360 degree video captures<\/b>, taken on an actual roller coaster. But believe me, the experience itself is <\/span>absolutely thrilling<\/b>, and some of you may actually need a barf bag alongside the Gear VR. <\/span><\/p>\n

The videos were digitally augmented, so through Coastiality, you can <\/span>experience the roller coaster ride directly<\/b>, from Germany\u2019s <\/span>Europa Park<\/span><\/a>, on your own smartphone. At a second thought, you have an entire theme park on your phone, since the app packs way more experiences!<\/span><\/p>\n

As a side note, <\/span>the best part about Coastality is that there is a pretty girl sitting with you in every video, wink wink.<\/span><\/p>\n
