Not once I\u2019ve come across some great looking Instagram videos<\/a> and pictures and wanted to save them, for later use. I bet you did the same thing but got stuck, as you didn\u2019t know how to save Instagram photos on your PC. <\/span><\/p>\n

How to save your own Instagram photos on a PC<\/span><\/h2>\n

Before finding out how you can save any picture you find, let\u2019s focus a bit on those users who want to keep the photos they take with their phones, share them on Instagram, and then want to keep them on a PC. <\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re going to presume that you want to save the edited photos you post on the social network. Otherwise, if you want the original images, you can easily get them from your phone.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is actually a basic feature Instagram offers, but it just needs to be enabled.<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Log in to your Instagram account from the app<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Open the app and go to the Settings icon, on the top left corner of your profile<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Enable the Save Original Photos feature<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Every time you post from a phone, it will be automatically saved to your Camera Roll, in an album named Instagram.<\/span><\/p>\n

    On the other side, if you want to save them using just a PC, the procedure is a bit different.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Instagram doesn\u2019t allow downloading photos from their website, so you need to get into a bit of code. But don\u2019t worry, it\u2019s actually very easy. In order to do this, follow these steps: <\/span><\/p>\n

    • Go to Instagram.com and log in<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Look for the photo you want to save and right-click on it<\/span><\/li>\n
    • If you\u2019re using Chrome, select View Page Source. This will take you to a page full of code<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Click Ctrl + F\/Cmd + F and search for \u201c.jpg\u201d. The first link that will be highlighted is the photo you selected<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Copy the photo\u2019s URL, starting with \u201chttps:\/\/\u201d until \u201c.jpg\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Open a new browser tab and copy the URL, then hit Enter. You should see the photo<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Right-click on the photo and save it in a folder of your choice<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      An alternative method would be to sync Instagram with your Facebook account. Everything you\u2019ll upload, a new image will also be posted on Facebook. There, all Instagram posts will be organized in an album, so you can easily download all of your images.<\/span><\/p>\n

      How to save somebody else\u2019s Instagram photos on a PC<\/span><\/h2>\n

      Unfortunately, things can get a bit complicated if you want to save Instagram photos on your PC, but they\u2019re not on your profile. But this doesn\u2019t mean that it\u2019s impossible!<\/span><\/p>\n

      In a situation like this, you have two options. One of them would be taking screenshots, then open the photo and crop the top and bottom, until you\u2019re left just with the image itself. After this, save it to your camera roll and send it to a PC. <\/span><\/p>\n

      You can also take a screenshot directly from your PC\u00a0 and save the photo on your hard disk drive.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Another method would be to search for the person whose pictures you want to save on Facebook. If the profile is private and Instagram syncing was enabled, you should find an Instagram album on his or her profile. However, this is possible just for a person\u2019s account. <\/span><\/p>\n
