You can easily find out if your phone is Network Locked to T-Mobile USA<\/span><\/a>.<\/strong>, First thing you\u2019ll need a different SIM card (from a different network provider – NOT the T-Mobile USA one<\/strong>).<\/span><\/p>\n

After acquiring the SIM Card you will need to:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Insert the “non-accepted SIM card” in the phone (Please check if your new SIM Card is activated, if not contact your Mobile Operator in order to activate it) <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Wait for the phone to load<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Insert the SIM\u2019s PIN<\/a> code (4 digits), if asked.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Afterward, if your phone displays one of the following messages, then be sure that your device is Network Locked.<\/span><\/p>\n

    “SIM Network Unlock PIN” or<\/strong>\u00a0“Network Locked”<\/h3>\n

    The <\/span>T-Mobile USA<\/b> devices that have the release date before<\/strong> 1st June 2015<\/strong> can only be unlocked by an unlocking code<\/strong>. Therefore, if your device is in this category, you will receive one or more unlocking codes that are unique to your device\u2019s IMEI.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Please note that in this case, you will need a different carrier SIM card<\/strong> (Not T-Mobile) inserted into the phone when entering the codes.<\/p>\n

    “This device can be remotely unlocked if eligible. Please use the \u2018Device Unlock Application\u2019 to unlock the device”<\/h3>\n

    \"Network-Locked-to-T-Mobile-USA\"<\/p>\n

    All\u00a0<\/span>T-Mobile USA<\/b> devices that have the release date after<\/strong> 1st June 2015<\/strong> can only be unlocked through the Device Unlock App<\/span>. For these handsets, unlocking codes are not necessary as there is no designated field in which to insert them. <\/span><\/p>\n

    The unlocking process is a bit different meaning your device\u2019s IMEI will need to be registered as<\/span> Unlocked\/Eligible<\/strong>,<\/span><\/i> in the\u00a0<\/span>T-Mobile USA<\/b> database. And afterward, you are required to open the <\/span>T-Mobile Device Unlock App<\/b> and select the <\/span>Permanent Unlock<\/i><\/strong> option.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Please note that in this case, the <\/span>T-Mobile USA SIM card<\/b> needs to be inserted into the phone whilst performing the unlocking process.<\/span><\/p>\n
