Before starting our list, let’s\u00a0make one thing clear: we don’t want to start any iOS vs Android war<\/strong>. Over the time, we tried to be as impartial as possible when it comes to the two operating systems, as both of them come with advantages and disadvantages.<\/p>\n

For a long period, iPhones were considered the devices that revolutionized the mobile industry<\/strong>, but lately, Google has done basically the same thing with their open platform operating system<\/strong>, becoming very good with each new dessert.<\/p>\n

Hoping that everybody is cool and OK\u00a0with accepting opinions different than theirs, let’s begin! Below you can find a list with 10 things an\u00a0iPhone can’t do, no matter if it’s an older model or the 6 or 6 Plus<\/span>, while most Android phones have no issues when it comes to dealing with them.<\/p>\n

1. Charge using any micro-USB cable<\/h3>\n

You have at least one friend who keeps complaining that his iPhone charging cable is broken and he will have to get a new one soon. You won’t have this type of problems with an Android phone<\/strong>, as any micro-USB cable<\/strong> can be used in order to get that battery pumped.<\/p>\n

2. Expand the storage capacity<\/h3>\n

If you have an iPhone, you need to stick to a maximum of 64 GB<\/strong> of internal storage and eventually opt for cloud if you want more space. On Android, this is not an issue, as a lot of phones still come with a microSD<\/strong> card slot, allowing you to add an extra 128 GB. It definitely sounds better than those 5 GB of free iCloud space, right?<\/p>\n

3. Work as a remote control<\/h3>\n

A lot of Android phones come with an integrated infrared blaster<\/strong>, allowing you to use it as a remote control, compatible with a lot of household appliances. And you must admit that it’s pretty cool to control all that stuff in your house with a single device! Unfortunately, iPhones can’t do this yet<\/span>.<\/p>\n

4. Replace the battery<\/h3>\n

Even though most flagships are nowadays opting for a sealed body, there are a lot of Androids with a removable back<\/span>, in order to easily swap the battery.<\/p>\n

5. Change the launcher<\/h3>\n

Everybody love Android because it’s highly customizable<\/span>. The part we really like is that you can change the launcher<\/span>. No matter if it’s done using a custom ROM<\/a> or just by installing a new one from the Play Store, it makes your user interface look great. On the other side, on iOS, you’re stuck to the same look as everybody else<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u00a06. Offer dual-SIM support<\/h3>\n

There are a lot of people who need two different phone numbers but don’t want to use more than a phone. In this case, the only solution is getting a dual-SIM phone running Android. Unless you’re dealing with a fake iPhone 6<\/a> or something like that, you don’t have dual-SIM support on Apple’s devices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

7. Touchless voice-commands<\/h3>\n

We must admit that Siri is great, but in order to start talking with her, you need to\u00a0press or hold the home button<\/span>. On Google now, everything can be done using your voice. Just say ‘OK Google’ and your phone is ready to execute commands.<\/p>\n

8. Add widgets to the home screen<\/h3>\n

If you like to have access to as much information as possible on your home screen, the widgets are there to help you. It’s true, iOS 8 has them too, but they can be accessed just through the notification drawer and you can’t actually move them<\/strong> around or put them on the home screen.<\/p>\n

9. Swap the back cover with a new one<\/h3>\n

If the back of your phone gets full of scratches or you want a more colorful one, there’s no problem at all. Just pop it out and replace it in a few seconds.<\/span> Heck, there are even some models, like the Flip Cover for the Galaxy S5, which come with an integrated screen protection. There’s no such thing for iPhone, at least for the moment.<\/p>\n

10. Feature a Power Saving Mode<\/h3>\n

We all know about iPhones’ battery issues. No matter what you do, they rarely last more than 1 day. Models from Samsung or Motorola come with a power saving mode<\/strong>, able to squeeze every drop of juice, in order to keep your phone ‘alive’ for as much as possible.<\/p>\n

So there you have it, a whole list of things an iPhone can’t do. On the other side, we’re pretty sure that there are also a lot of cool features seen only on Apple’s smartphones, but we’ll talk about them in another article.<\/p>\n
